Cupping

Cupping is a traditional East Asian manual therapy that involves placing glass cups on the skin’s surface to create a vacuum. This suction effect draws the skin and underlying tissues into the cups via negative pressure.

Cupping can be used to promote blood flow, reduce muscle tension, reduce pain and inflammation, improve range of motion and stimulate healing. It is also frequently used to aid in a faster recovery for athletes. We often incorporate cupping into treatments focused on pain relief, as well as, conditions focused on respiratory support like chest congestion and cough.
