About Us

Meet Carmen

I was born and raised here in Rochester and find it incredibly rewarding to be back here serving in the community. My goal is to make East Asian medicine accessible to everyone. With an emphasis in Orthopedic Acupuncture and Sports Medicine, I completed the Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2013. My multiple modality style of treatment draws on my skills as an acupuncturist as well as being a licensed massage therapist for the last 19 years. I am currently diving deeper into my understanding of Master Tung style acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation and Herbal Medicine. The expanse of East Asian Medicine allows me the opportunity to continue to learn and build on my knowledge as a practitioner. With that, I like to keep in mind that there is more than one way or style of treatment to help the person on my table. Helping my patients find their way back to a better state of health is always my primary goal.

I truly look forward to coming to the office and getting to work. Having the opportunity to help my patients navigate their way through pain as well as many other chronic and/or underlying conditions is both an honor and a privilege I am grateful for every day.

When I am away from the office, I assure you I am most often, out on my bike. That has always been my happy place. And if not there, I am spending time with my neice and nephew who are my moon and stars. They have both recently learned to ride their bikes too so…

Meet Lauren

I have always had a passion for caring for people. My passion for alternative medicine really began when my brother underwent surgery due to Crohn’s disease. My brother, my sister and I all have this disease. Currently there isn’t a cure for Crohn’s, just a lifetime of medication and possible surgeries. I decided to study Chinese Medicine with the goal of finding an alternative way to treat Crohn’s without harsh medications. Through my education and experience so far, I have learned ways to help this and other digestive system disorders as well as mental health (especially anxiety and panic disorders), women's health, migraines, dermatological conditions, various pain conditions, acute illnesses, sports related injuries and much more. With my knowledge and experience, I strive to improve people’s lives with Chinese Medicine, no matter what ails them.

I received my Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College. While studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I worked in many clinical settings including Seneca Falls Health Center, the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Canandaigua, NY, and the NYCC Outpatient Clinic in Rochester, NY. My training includes acupuncture, Chinese herbs, eastern dietary therapy, tui na, and Qi gong.

Meet Barbara

I began my training in Santa Fe, at the New Mexico Academy of Massage and Advanced Healing Arts. Over the past 30 years I have continued to study different therapeutic modalities and my work today incorporates a wide range of techniques; from deep tissue and myofascial massage to lighter craniosacral and energy work. My work is intuitive, feeling what will benefit each individual client. My goal is to unwind holding patterns that cause pain and then to facilitate healing. Please contact me to discuss how I can address your massage needs and to schedule an appointment.
